Together Group, parent company to Purple PR, announced today it is acquiring Imerza and Visualisation One, animation and immersive visualisation technology companies.

Imerza is video game developer Epic Games’ official US partner for the creation of digital twins, which are virtual recreations of physical objects and spaces — for instance, its technology has been used to create large-scale digital twins for architectural projects such as Quidiya and Diriyah Gate in Saudi Arabia. Visualisation One builds immersive VR experiences for clients like hotelier Aman.

The goal is to bridge its existing agencies’ cultural know-how with new technological capabilities, and the two businesses will be integrated into its brand consultancy Noë & Associates. The acquisitions broaden the suite of services Together Group can offer its clients, which include retailers like Liberty, fashion brands including Dior and Louis Vuitton, beauty players like Byredo and hotel brands such as Auberge Resorts Collection and Claridge’s in London.

When the group began to scale in 2021, the focus was to build cultural relevance through the acquisition of agencies like Purple PR, which has a deep history in the fashion and hospitality industries, before moving on to technology — which can be “transformational, but only if you are culturally connected,” said Together Group CEO, Christian Kurtzke.

“You can’t build from the tech side. You have to build it from the cultural side, which is why the first 10 acquisitions that we did, starting with Purple, were really focused on strengthening this portfolio of creative and cultural players,” he said. “The time has come to massively strengthen the technological capability of the group.”
