Job Details

Maharishi is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stock & Fulfilment Manager to lead stock operations. This role plays a pivotal part in managing the flow of stock across physical retail and eCommerce, with a strong emphasis on inventory control, order fulfilment, and back-of-house organisation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring efficient processing, high accuracy, and best-in-class stockroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end fulfilment of all online orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with company standards.
  • Lead the booking in of deliveries from suppliers and other stores, ensuring products are accurately received, labelled, and uploaded to the inventory system across all branches.
  • Monitor and resolve stock discrepancies, performing detailed investigations and liaising with relevant departments to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust Stock Control Procedures, ensuring compliance across all back-of-house operations.
  • Conduct and manage regular stock takes, cycle counts, and discrepancy checks to maintain accurate stock-on-hand levels and optimise stock availability.
  • Coordinate preparation of stock for the sales floor, ensuring all items are steamed, barcoded, and merchandised efficiently to support commercial performance.
  • Maintain exceptional organisation, cleanliness, and compliance of all back-of-house areas in accordance with Retail Procedures and Health & Safety standards.
  • Identify and report any product quality issues to relevant teams, supporting resolution and minimising impact to customers and commercial performance.
  • Motivate, lead, and support the Stockroom Team in achieving accuracy, speed, and efficiency, while contributing to wider store performance targets.
  • Collaborate with retail, visual merchandising, and customer service teams to ensure stock is aligned with store campaigns, events, and promotions.
  • Support store management with operational requests including stock checks, fulfilment analysis, and event preparation.
  • Manage third party warehousing partner for occasional high velocity missions, such as bulky quick strike footwear releases.
  • Provide cover for the Wholesale Warehouse Manager during periods of annual leave, ensuring continuity of operations and maintaining established standards.
  • Recruit and manage freelance staff where required in peak sale periods.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in stockroom or inventory management, ideally in a multi-channel retail environment.
  • Proficient in inventory systems (eg, NetSuite WMS) and stock processing workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach to work.
  • Effective communicator, capable of working across multiple departments.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Enthusiastic team leader with the ability to motivate and develop others.
  • Committed to high standards and continuous improvement in fulfilment and stock control processes.
  • Physically capable of handling deliveries and manual stockroom tasks when required.
